SQL Azure took down login

Our SQL Azure database is down with no explanation, as is the backup archives that are hosted by Microsoft (which fortunately isn't all of them). Support hung up on us when we told them our database dissapeared


All the 800 support lines went offline or told us to go to support chat. WHen we entered the support chat, it took us to sales chat instead, with this conversation.

Wait, what?? Database disappearing... like the server went down? I guess we just have to wait and hope for no permanent damage.
Lowsy costumer service over there btw. That stuff is just infuriating. ;/

Did it happen again today, cuz I can't login.

I've tried 5 times in the last 2 hours and this is what I get:

Database 'alteil' on server 'q4hgdleczu' is not currently available. Please retry the connection later. If the problem persists, contact customer support, and provide them the session tracing ID of '05f99e4e-b4c7-46ee-87ad-e15732a5dc26'.

Btw, our server name is q4hgdleczu?
I'll try again tomorrow, if I can't login i'll try their customers support ID tracing thing.

Arugh. Seriously? Getting off Azure is now one of the top priorities next sprint.

The server Microsoft is letting us use as part of the Bizspark program to help small businesses is is called q4hgdleczu. Our own servers have more meaningful names.

Random Azure downtime was the cause of the vast majority of our problems in the past - I just kept my mouth shut because I didn't want to say anything bad about one of the the hands that fed us... but it's really getting out of hand.

At least it taught us a lesson about what happens if a section of your product is at the mercy of a single vendor.

Sounds very troublesome.
I was able to login the next day, so GREAT job on that.
