Hi all,
Not sure if this still rings true- the data is 2 years old ( nov 10 2010). Assuming they have not changed gold box and gold pack rates here is what you can expect on Friday and make good purchase decisions.
Analyzing the data provided yields this so far
23 packs bought:
1 x 5 star
2 x 4 star
34 x 3 star
At a cost of 300 gran per pack this is 6900 gran. Now I'll compare this to the results of the set 7 gold boxes data i tried to analyze.
Averaging the results posted, we can roughly conclude that a gold box will yield:
1.6 x 5 star
2.6 x 4 star
6 x 3 star
The most common set, out of 14 posted was 1x 5 star, 3x 4 star and 6-7x 3 star
When you compare the 2 options-purchasing gold boxes at 3600 gran per box versus buying gold packs you are clearly better off buying gold packs- 2x gold box vs. 24 gold packs. It is a difference of 20 x 3 stars!!! Weigh this against getting perhaps an extra 5 star and perhaps 2 more 4 stars

I wonder if the new set is another load of new metas which you have to buy into.

Well one has to decide what one wants: either a lot of good cards that influence meta and thus "forces you to buy" or a lot of bad cards that has zero influence on the meta thus is a boring release. One is sure: There always be reasons to complain if one is looking for them.

Nahh I just talk as those two extremes has already happened
. I find it difficult to nag about "the new set influence the meta so big that i am force to buy it" when the community naged once about a complete set not contributing to the meta at all.But hey if there are any other extremes in this respect please enlighten me. curious what else we can nag about.

What do you mean with other extremes? We are not talking about colors here, just card usefulness and card strength.
