Alteil Demo now less confusing

Postby Logress » Wed May 12, 2010 12:09 am

In news that is probably thrilling to very few of you who already play, Lupos and GGG put their heads together to expand the Demo screen a bit, and include some example videos to show new players what it looks like to revive things, where you have to click, etc. Nothing fancy but hopefully it will help some users out. This was actually a user suggestion as well, and we had planned to launch it along with the new Demo, but... stuff got in the way.

Boy I sure am excited about this amazing new feature. That is why I am taking the time to mention how great it is even though it doesn't affect me directly.

I still feel demo should use regular cards. The hax cards are a bad idea in my opinion. It makes it really confusing transitioning from demo to real game, and give off a very bad first impression.

Still unbalanced cards that give user a false sense of oh my god I'm pro!
One does not play alteil the way they want. -Gon

Yeah, it's a better idea to use real cards. To make the user win, you can just have the computer use those joke cards like cutter of the cord or something.

But that reveals the great imbalance of the game right from the start, i wouldn't be happy to see that ...

Alteil is pretty much well balanced. Sometimes you loose and sometimes the enemy wins.

Actually, It is quite possible to lose even with ridiculously powerful cards u get, I was talking to four people on vent, msn messenger, and other game where I don't get d/ced at every minute.

I felt like playing the demo again despite multitasking to a great degree, and i lost.

I think i was just throwing random cards at the demo iczer, and lost. XD

I laughed when I read this subject title. Does it remind anyone else of a crappy ad campaign?
