New Feature: Underdog List

Don't mean to get too technical but did the formula you guys used took into account things like card availability? Like for example, if only 3 people in Alteil had Bringer and used him would Bringer appear on the list because the formula would "draw" it's "universe" from the entire player base or would those 3 guys be the only accounted for universe thus making Bringer have a use rate of 100%?

Or did you guys went with something completely different like, "X=average number of times a card is played" and then you took specific cards and divided the number of times that card is played by X to determine the most used/underused cards.

I ask because depending on the scenario, some cards that are actually powerfull could turn up on the list simply because people don't have them.

Sorry if I didn't make myself clear since english isn't my first language and it's kinda hard to translate the lingo I learned in Statistics class into the proper english equivalent >_>...

That came out of the blue, I like the idea but I think it has too many cards on the list. Safe to say that nobody thinks Alarune is an Underdog. Here's to hoping that it turns into 50 or 25%?

Well, this is data is drawn from higher RP players, so apparently cards like Alrune fall out of favor as RP goes up, even though she's very popular in general. Probably the single most interesting data that can be gotten from this list is what cards that see a lot of use in general still made the list.

Since top cards tend to get used more, which means their use is perfected and anyone watching matches can see how to use them well, high use cards tend to get used more and more over time. This means that after the top cards, things drop off fairly quickly (at least after a set's been out for a while) so I think this is fairly useful at 75%.

How about you order them by use %?

That way we can see which are the bottom 25% used (by looking at the bottom third of the list).
