I am playing REFESS underdog vs Overrated Emana/Harpist Combo

Epic turn 26 WIN vs unlimited revival.

And this is why we shouldn't be so fast to jump on the nerf stick. Harpist has a massive drawback. Namely that you have to be playing mermaids.

Except anyone who's willing to watch this can see the opponent

If you watched bettr you could see her charge knihgt was out of emana's range. skill = only for target in range. blacksun put her units out of that skill's range which screwed the opponents plan. blacksun won fair.

I don't think my opponent is weak. He is a respectable player. And I don't think anyone could just give me that win when he could have just gave up less than turn 9 since its UD.

And to know that Set 11 UD ss's are not counted so disappointed on that Epic win.

Oh well, at least I proved that people saying are "Mermaids Emana/Harpist auto wins to Gowen/Refess" is not true after all.

You need brute force to take out units and icer as you can. That is why I gambled playing x2 Charge Knight and putting her out of range vs emana's action skill.

Less of 'let him win' and more of a bad misplay. When dropping the Shield Soldier, it got placed in the wrong spot. If it were placed in front of Emana like it was supposed to, Emana would have had 3 RNG and the Shield Soldier would have had 4 AGI, enough to go before Emana and move back. I can't recall if Emana had 2 or 3 AGI at that point, but at that point, BlackSun's only hope would have been for Annette to both win the AGI roll against Emana and kill Emana. Since the Charge Knights had boosted attack, Emana would have been able to kill one of them if she survived Annette.


However, the mermaids player put the Shield Soldier next to Emana, so she never got the RNG boost needed.

Another good observation Khi. Well said. He could have won that match but I was also taking that into consideration about emana being boosted by shield mermaid. Emana vs Anette AGI roll.

You're totally right, except turn 19, 21, 24, 25, and 26 misplays, the opponent gave out a tough win.

but I might have over-reacted because when I saw the name Blacksun, I was expecting some truly inspirational gameplay and not a opponent "trying something". I'm sure the next one he posts is good.

I am versus Mirror Verlaat as well. How to turn the tide when your Character is locked up and seeing the Present Verlaat dodges crucial SS's.

Past Verlaat working his way to the top by gaining sp w/ the help of Weissvogel and Present Verlaat doing the OP OP.

Well, I'd still bet on my first replay Epic turn 26 win vs that mermaid user file but I'd also wanted to share this.
