I almost have enough Gran to get a Pre-Built, which I've been told by several people are pretty much the way to go. However, since the Gran collecting process is so slow, I thought I might try the Hyper Lotto to see if I can get even more Gran. Could I come out positive or would I be better off just waiting patiently?

You only lose gran by trying the lotto. It's the same as trying the lottery ticket to win money: it's not a viable solution.

Plus, the lotto is too random for it to be useful for a free player. Maybe try 10 pulls but that's about it.

The hyper lotto will probably not make you any gran, but if you do happen to get something of high rarity early on, quit while you're ahead and get the hell out of there.

Yeah prebuilt's give you the most value for your dollar.

From there the value goes drastically downhill. Always start with pre-builts. Once you have them, decide if you want to become a big spender or not.
