Carbuncle action help

Postby Lawtiabidingcitizen » Sun Dec 18, 2011 3:45 am

I mainly play lawtia but decided to get carbuncle action just to add another file to my collection. I understand the concept somewhat from looking at the file in entirety but would like to know some good openings for the deck in general and how it should flow. Any help would be appreciated. Thank yah. :D

Gon have Doraemon in his home.
That's why he can do that easily.

Since we're sharing little victories:

Carbuncles UD vs GMB:

same Carbs vs Serpent:

and finally against undeads:

Whoever can guess what all battles posted in this thread have in common will win 1 internet and 2 hugs from adorable Emerald Carbuncle.

Answer:They are all againts players who either play badly (BKR with slow Archer Scout open, Urgrant who plays Return after Return instead of boosting Lawtia to 4 manually and then proceed to 1-shot Buncles while denying them sp at the same time) or have limited cardpool (GMB with only 1 Roar of the Flame Emperor and 2 BoFs instead, Serpent with no Sweeping Tidalwave, undeads with no EX:CAK).

At least for now, Carbuncles stand no chance against properly played tier 1 decks. They're great for relatively easy UD, but that's about it. If only Diamond/Agate/General had 5 more hp, whole tribe would be so much better. No more early ss/Bringer/BoF induced deaths resulting in entire field falling like a house of cards. Lack of Jade Carbuncle in prebuilt hurts their playability even more, it's awesome even with 1 copy (best TB reward in my Alteil history).

I was worried about how effective the file would do against the tier 1s but I wanted to give CA a go. Plus the carbuncles are really cute. :D

There are also a few real pretty seasonals. Buncles ain't bad. I mean they ain't the best but they are a real solid rush file with a lot of good units. Some files get completely humbled after getting -10AT and then having to deal with 10 DEF units.

Someone looking for
-No more early Bringer/BoF induced deaths?
I think Opal Carbuncle's Open Skill can help you a bit, low agi healing on open counters any open damage less than a Gowen 7 Fire Arrow, and works on Sakura every time...

Would have been nice if you didn't touch his counter and let him have the +1Sp everytime.
