I was wondering what will happen if...

I had a closed retear on the board, and if I try to summon another retear to revive the closed one with the open skill instead of just reviving it with 1 SP, what will happen?

I was thinking that it will backlash before the open effect right? =o

Backlash happens on the revealing of the cards, which is before the open skills are activated.

A closed character on the field is still a character on the field, and it will character backlash. Found out the hard way back in the day when I killed the other guys last Vordore and brought out mine the next turn, my card was revealed before his closed one was sent to the cemetery, so it Character Backlashed.
