Here's a question for you guys. If you saw a card that hads skill that "send one random unit card from rival Iczer's Card File to the cemetary" would you assume unit meant any card that is not a grimoire or would you assume it is only unit cards and not character cards?

I would assume it reffers to characters and units. If it would say "send one random card of type unit, from rival Iczer's Card File to the cemetary" then i would say it clearly sends only a common unit card and not a character.

Kurina's effect saids units, and every other buffing skill calls them units, while still working on characters.

So if you say "send one random unit card from rival Iczer's Card File to the cemetary" It would mean any card that is not a grimoir to us.

As I understand it there are 2 types of cards in alteil, units and grimoire. Then within the units there are a special sub type known as "characters" that have additional rules that go with them non-characters don't. So in order for a skill to effect all units but not characters it would have to say "remove a random non-character unit card from your opponents file"

You are correct, all characters are also units (but not all Units are Characters). So, the effect would hit anything that's not a grimoire. We just wanted to make sure that made sense to you guys.

Hehe, yeah, everything is a unit that will be placed on the field if summoned. At least up to now they all are.

There is an SS for characters.
