Well it always stinks when a healing grim goes off after a SS closing a unit or before the damage grim. Open skills are better since they go last.

Alteil is pretty much well balanced. Sometimes you loose and sometimes the enemy wins.

Just to be clear,

If Folrart Guardian is the only enemy unit in play and play Fire Tornado, Guardian will be hit four times and activate her counter skill four times before she dies.

Is this correct?

(So for killing units with counter skills it is best to use something that does a lot of damage once, and avoid cards that do a lot of damage split into several "damage assignment" steps?)

Also, since open skills go according to AGI, they follow the same "luck of the draw" as to who goes first, right? So if Verlaat and Escatia are both in play it will be random whether the turn ends up being night or morning dependent on which activates their start skill last.

PS. Thanks for the explanation of the stack. It is still really complicated, but knowing this I can better plan strategies.

She will only counter four times if she doesn't die from the four hits combined. If all the attacks kill her, then she should flip before she has a chance to counter.

So what happens if both players have only a Folrart Guardian in play and one attacks the other. Will the two Guardians counter each other to death?

Yes, until a counter kills one or the other depending on buffs they have likely received.

I've updated the official master stack to account for "This effect is repeated X times" wordings, and also moved close skills to the Damage Resolution phase where it belongs.

ACTION PHASE
19) Start Skills of one unit (In order of AGI.)

I remember several cases where I'd have Belfyna on my side of the field, and there'd be a Folart Knight Captain on the opposing side, and he'd buff everyone with 10 AT/5 DEF before he died from Belf's start skill. :/
