Do I need to have the level on a card in power in order for it's soul skill to activate?

eg. I'm playing lawtia at rank 3 everything else rank 0:
I have a level 4 elite crest knight in soul file, will it's soul power go off?
I have a level 2 refess card in soul file, will it's soul power go off?

Basically, can i just pick the best soul cards I have without regard to what color I'm playing?

Hey there, soul cards will go off no matter what your level is at. It could be at level 0 on all of them it could be level 9 on all of them, it doesn't have any bearing on the soul cards. As soon as the soul card's LP is depleted via cards dying or iczer attacks it'll go off. So pick whatever the heck soul cards want, good luck!
