Well, don't always just choose the 5star but in this case, it'll probably be a good 3LP SS for you, it can have a hideous drawback if you get hit by a Ball of Flame before it goes off but that's it, it's all positive from there.

One game, before the last turn, I had two of my units killed on their last copy while the opponent one of theirs killed on last copy. I had 2LP left and they had 1LP but my two units were killed before theirs.

They said GG, probably auto-assuming I lost because of the order of death but Allnid removed my closed unit and then their last closed unit got rid of their last LP.
