Frisky Vordore file

Postby skillll7 » Wed Apr 11, 2012 10:24 pm

You know, there was a certain Jio that wanted me to make a Vordore file, and finally, after the release of set 10, a successful one was born.

Vordore replay versus EN

The success that this file showed really shocked me.

[Open of Catherina, if it lashes you use Sylph to kill possible Owl Sages
Then you get a choice of playing Oseon or MoF.]

This file gets a really good SP advantage early on thanks to Faytis, Catherina, MoF, and Wandering Bard. After that, you can spam units.

Blundering Girl Pirate provides really good control since she tones down your opponent's SP. She does really well especially against Falkow. But she rarely, if ever, gets to kill anything that's above her AT with that action. It annoys me greatly when she just misses 99% of the time. Even when the opponent has 25 HP and she can hit from 20 to 50. I once hit pre-nerf Emana for 59 damage... tables were flipped that day.

Church Paladin is there because free 30 DF rocks.

Sylph Sorceress is a really good add. She can give a clutch 2 AGI - either on your Vordore or Judie. She can also give Catira an awesome AGI buff. 5 AGI Cattyrawr is welcomed. Also helps Shelby Aqua SS work.
Then when she hits the field, she pokes for a good 30 damage, enough to kill Pixies and other mini weenies. With Thorned Battle Diva, that's 50 damage at 5 AGI - enough to kill a Ruuca.

Other options include:
Celerity
MOAR Returns
Griffin (instead of Blunder Girl)
Aurora (?)
OP Emana
Elite Fencer of Regus
Other cards

Card rarities
Two 5* - Catherina, Oseon
One 4* - Shelby
Nine 3* - 2x Faytis, 2x Vordore, 3x Judie, Lelein, Wrath of the Sea Lord
Eight 2* - 2x Sylph Sorceress, 2x Blundering Girl Pirate, Cyclone, Pixy Aquamancer, Church Paladin, Instant Revive
Five 1* - Sylph, Wandering Bard, 2x Return, Meaning of Failure
Five EX - 3x Thorned Battle Diva, Gafc, Cattyrawr

You're violating all kinds of rules only using 1 faytis 1 church pally and 2 copies of vondore/sylph sorc/plundering plus another rule not having an endgame. Oh and only 1 Catira?

Rule breaker ;)

All the sudden the term "frankenstein file" came to my mind. Seems to take features from a few files like catira from warriors, paladin from TGC, miku from knights, proxies from marduk files, returns from everything that is falkow, plundering girl from pirates, and the ss featuring the all so classic shelby combo.

I guess that makes vondore dr. frankenstein!

BTW thanks for adding another annoying return file to the heap:)

Everyone knows Marduck stole Proxies from Peg Kingdom.

I added replays... you know, for entertainment.

In many cases people use cards and don't put them in situations and opportunities to succeed. I often point these out, where people do certain things and it sabotages their cards. The OP here is putting his units in situations where they can, in fact, succeed and win. I was commenting on how to add more versatility and fluidity to his file, he violated many "standard rules" that people make up in their head which prevent them from succeeding. His use of single and double copies and no endgame whatsoever is excellent.

Great plays, great file, you truly deserve your 2k RP spot.
When the end comes, and enemies are rushing in from all sides, I will be at your right hand.

aside from my lawita starter, the files that I play have no end game, they focus on one concept and work toward keeping the concept going. Such as my janus file, the concept keep janus alive and My alphonse/annarose file to keep cards out of the grave.
