I don't really think about LP that much... I just throw in what I think helps my files lol
Really all my thoughts into decided LP are really just general 'maximums'
Rush don't ever take more then 9.
Mids never more then 12
and since my only big is noze...well that's just 14LP lol

I build mine pretty much free form like Jazzock, though in mid-bigs i generally always run a revival or return SS. For the most part my files tend to all range from 8-10 LP, save for the incredulous, spontaneous and flamboyant masterpieces i concoct every now and then.

I build more around the SS than the life count, more for the first two SSs though, like if I'm playing bigs I'll go sphere + 3, possibly some Cait Sith if I'm going ref, etc.. The 3rd and 4th are generally utility cards, like if I need more damage I'll put some in, I need some revives I'll put some in, etc.

Big LP - 13-10
Mid LP 10- 7
Rush LP 7- 6
