Balzelda and Metia have no semblance whatsoever... they definitely aren't the same.
In fact, the flavor text of both cards hints at what they're relation actually is. The quote on Metia's card is her calling out to Balzelda, and Balzelda's text mentions that her "best friend appeared before her, a victim of the curse". In other words, its quite likely that Metia is this person.
Thus, Balzelda and Metia = best friends. Most likely.

Bazelda's face looks much more manly. Metia's face looks a bit more rounded and not manly imo.
Alteil is pretty much well balanced. Sometimes you loose and sometimes the enemy wins.

Ah I dont have the balzelda card so I don't know what her text said...
It seems I have jumped the gun here.
I made the assumption because Metia was calling out Balzelda's name..or seems to be...and the flavor text says:
"The former captain of the guard for the Mermaid Kingdom."
And balzelda's title is Mermaid Captain...so I just assumed that they were the same. darn now I wish I could see the entire flavor text on Balzelda.

A fine job Balzelda did protecting noone! Pfft!
And what's Emana going to do up on dry land. Even in water her attack is 0. And she is only useful if there are other mermaids around. Inconsistent! Pfft!
