i've been working my way through the divine comedy and came across mention of atropos, wikipedia was my friend as to who this was and much to my suprise http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atropos its cutter of the chord, so if your looking for a name for a buffed up character version of our favourite closet clutter look no further.

Atropos - The third of the three Fates from Greek mythology. The first Fate, Clotho, spun the string of life (birth). The second Fate, whose name I can't remember (sorry!), measured the length of the string of life (lifespan). The third Fate, Atropos, cut the string of life when it was to end (death). Also, all three fates shared one eye between them.

So basically, We'd need two others for the other Fates as well.

okay...so I'm really bad at telling gender...but cutter of the cord looks like an awful lot like a guy. Atropos was female.

I don't recall the Fate's being called the Death Lords, but I suppose it works either way.

The second Fate is Lachesis, by the way.
