The problem with that is Adobe Flash's dithering algorithm (or lack of flexibility of) often produces unsatisfactory results. You'd achieve a better result dumping all the frames as PNG files, recombining them in a photo editing tool like GIMP or Photoshop, and using them to handle the dithering down of the palette.

Absolutely agree, though I use fireworks. But that's just one more step that I don't have time for at the moment. I'll definitely spruce things up over time though.

Basically like a pared down photoshop with some basic animation controls. And to go along with layers there are also frames. Best thing to do is make all your frames as layers in photoshop then open it in fireworks and just turn one on and the other off for each frame. Has all the same dithering options photoshop does. One nice thing though is it treats different layers more like objects in flash so its easy to just click on something and select it then drag it around.

See that was is the weird thing is that I used Photoshop to create an animated picture. But maybe I saved it wrong or uploaded it wrong. I've never really tried bring animated things to the interweb before so thus my problem ensues. And Mac users get a wonderfully colorful wheel for those of you that have or used one know this spinning wheel of doom!

Yea I just cleaned up the hand a smidge. Used to do a lot of drawing in "paint" at my old job. Didn't have any other entertainment on my PC there.
