BRAID

Saw it. Read about it. Played the demo. Purchased.

Showed a friend, he purchased it.

Showed another friend, we're playing it this weekend.

And the first friend showed his friends, so... It is addictive.

Mario interface in terms of sidescrolling.

But the gameplay itself is innovative (though the first friend said it resembles... Some Odyssey game from the 90s).

Hmmm.. time manipulating platformer games, with unique and non-repetitive levels...

Well, I do like platformer, might give the demo a try

It's amazing. There's not nearly enough new 2d games. Couldn't get any friends to purchase, though. You must be a better salesperson than I am. :)

I found it again and played it to death about a month back. Last I checked I was 7th place for the Full Game Speedrun. ^.^

I like braid, but at some points I think ti stopped being a puzzle and became more trial and error.. or maybe I'm just dim.

This I had not seen... Looks like Cave Story crossed with Echochrome. ^^

I think it's not based on trial & error... You just need to explore the new features in each level... I currently cannot beat "There and Back Again".
