I know that the Fruits Basket manga spans 136 chapters.

I know that the anime halted very early in the story.

Could someone tell me how many chapters the Fruits Basket anime covers?

Yet another series where the manga surpasses the anime entirely, IMO at least. The fact that the anime actually throws some things out of order and changes some very important things doesn't make it easy. I'd say the anime covered up to around volume 6 or 7, though some chapters were skipped entirely. You might as well disregard her visit to Akito in the last episode as well, it seemed rushed and didn't seem to fit with the rest of the story.
