Mobile Suit Gundam is awesome. Although Gao Gai Gar has the best theme song ever!

I'm a big fan of Gunsmith Cats (manga)...girls, cars, guns AND set in modern America...what more could a guy want from manga? :?:

One of the best, i agree.

Most of my fav ones are infact from before year 2k so... I'll convert this thread into "before '90" just for my post.

As far as manga goes, Apollo's Song. Now that's really going far back. Just about anything by the great Tezuka would probably make the list of great old manga. Another favorite manga from way back is the Cyborg 009 series.

My favorite old anime movie is probably Jin-Roh, but there may be some others I'm forgetting. But yes, I loved Jin-Roh. It's closely followed by a bunch of Miyazaki works, but that movie really struck a chord with me, and was also one of the first feature-length anime films I'd ever watched as a child. My favorite anime series from before 2000 was one I watched much later, Blue Gender. The nineties were a good times for all of us giant robot and powered armor fans.

Lupin III, in all it's wonderful and varied forms.
Burn Up! Excess
Ranma 1/2
Little leaf, green leaf
Gather light to you.
Little root, deep root
Bind the earth to you.
Mind the trunk that holds you high!
Mind the branches long and proud!
So strong stands the forest.
