After a quick search on the internet, the only title that pops up is Macross Frontier. It mentions a one of the main character wanting to be like a singer named Sheryl (with one 'l'). Coincidentally, I only saw 22 episodes out for it on this site I found. So are you talking about Macross Frontier? It would help to actually include the title of the anime somewhere just so people know what you're actually talking about.

And no, I haven't had enough time to watch it yet.

I was going to watch it anyways when I had time, I blame the recent Robotech movie.
As much as I like my onions and how funny the word itself is (Onions...heh heh), no thanks. I prefer pizza and ramen.

i love macross it is getting quite interesting. and sheryl is hot. so much better then ranka

It's because Ranka was designed to be cute and Sheryl was designed to be hot.

Anyways, I started to watch it because the new Robotech movie got me in to futuristic sci-fi with giant robots once more. It has a very different feel from any Gundam, Robotech: Shadow Chronicals, or any other sci-fi stuff I've seen. The music is quite catchy as well, I find myself listening to the opening theme most of the time instead of skipping it and their are plenty of songs throughout the show. My favorite so far is Ranka singing "My boyfriend is a Pilot" cause it fits her character so well with the "whoosh whoosh" sound.

nooooooooooo...macross f is over. one great ending thought. the battle in the last two episodes were like wooh and dude and ahhh and holy jesus ... cant wait till the movie aaaahhh

i really loved that show, itwas great, also i agree with the post before its actually the 1st show i actually don't pass the intro song.

i dont know what about this combination of sexy songstress + variable fighter +space really drives me nuts

i hope they find an excuse to make a 2nd season

It's over and it was a pretty good anime while it lasted. I really didn't like the ending though.
