I'd like to correct an error in my first video,
The Grand Prize winner gets $20,000 USD which will go directly to et3.
NASA is NOT going to fund and build whichever project wins,

What they are going to do is feature Evacuated Transport Technologies in Tech Briefs magazine's November 2012 issue which will have a special subplement specifically on the grand prize winner.

Regardless this is still an important first step, in getting this technology recognized, and promoted to the right people.

Hopefully investors will be smart enough to realize that this technology will one day cover the entire planet, and result in a multi-trillion dollar global transportation network.

To buy into this company at this stage of the game would be a very smart career move. Like investing in apple computers or microsoft at a very early stage in their development.

The crucial step now, is acquiring the resources to build the world's first test model.

Once the first prototype evacuated tube transport is built and thoroughly tested for safety, it will only be a matter of time before we have these systems connecting NY to LA and LA to Shanghai.

I have to say, that system is quite innovative and cool. I wonder what the fallback plan is if the capsule loses pressurization though? Would have to be similar to an airplane where masks deploy or something. Probably not for the claustrophobic either but i'd be willing to give it a whirl if it was built though it certainly won't be in my lifetime. Nice links i enjoyed reading it.
