Probably just people trying to keep up with what's going on with Alteil before it actually starts. Once Beta begins I'm sure the forums will be buzzing. Plus, there's really not too many interesting topics worth discussing so far, most people are just making idle chat.

Once the game starts, I think more people will post just as Exanthem said. The boards will have many topics discussing the various strategies and such of the game.

Yep, the game has me really excited about it, which makes me keep checking back hoping for new news, and every once in a while I'll notice something odd thats worth asking about, but for the most part theres just not much information available to allow any in depth discussions about the game. As we get to actually play the game there will be alot more avenues of discussion.
