SP bug or am I not clear on the rules?

Something rather strange has been happening, infrequently, in my games. I seem to be pulling extra SP out of thin air. I'm playing the Refess starter with some modifications, and every once and a while, usually near the end of the game, I wind up with more SP than I should have. I thought I was just not keeping track in my head. But this past match I played out Zagar on the last turn, which brought me to 0 SP. I hit myself for that because it left me with nothing to make a Iczar attack with, but when Action phase came around I wound up with 4 more SP, and no idea how I got them. I won that match but feel dirty about it- I don't want to win matches because the game has a serious bug. Is there some rule I overlooked that would allow me to just gain 4 SP like that, or is this a genuine problem?

When one of your units hits the cemetery, you get back the SP you spent on it. Since Units are taken off the field early in the turn, before the Action phase, this is where the SP came from.

When a closed card leaves the field, you gain SP equal to said card's level.

A soul skill could also regain SP.
