Horizons, advertising and influx of new players

Horizons, advertising and influx of new players

Postby Steenbok » Fri Jun 06, 2014 11:50 am

Hello all,

I'm not sure if this is the right place, but it seemed suitable.

I was wondering what the status of Horizons is currently. When we can expect a new update, and as we are all waiting for, the release of Horizons.
Secondly, with alteil Horizons almost (?) there, how is the game working with advertising etc? As we're currently stuck with the same couple of non-so-new players.
Is there a strategy to get an influx of new players, and a way to keep them?

Regards,
Steenbok

Hi guys,

So we do have some plans, we just haven't committed to doing them yet as we are still in talks with some of the companies. From the information I have, we do have a couple of big name companies working with us to give Horizons some good exposure. If you haven't already, please take the time to vote for us on Steam's Greenlight project here: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/f ... =178907453
Our current first priority is to get a beta version of Horizons up and running ASAP. We are at the point where we can have 2 players playing against each other live, but there are a significant number of bugs we still need to hammer out. From what I've seen, it appears the layout and UI (GGG's hard work) are progressing quite nicely...but I haven't been updated on that front in a while. There's still a fair amount of backlog on what our programmers need to accomplish-but rest assured, they are still hard at work. I hope we're able to deliver a more promising update in the near future.
