Why facebook? If it's going to be on another site, I think a game site like kongregate is more logical. Though I'm fine with it just being on http://www.alteil.com

No. Facebook takes 30% of revenue from games. Besides, fb has been going down lately (slowing in terms of users and crashing in terms of stocks).

That's because they are being **** instead of minding their own business.

What the facebook management does is very counterproductive. Basically 99% of the facebook games require you to add friends and there are an awful lot of groups where people post "add me please" messages to help them gather friends fast and make quick progress in their games. Because some idiots complained about people adding people they don't know, they added some counter measures (probably to invoke a frown from god himself upon them) and so if you add someone (ANYONE, can be someone you actually know) they can report you and say they don't know you and you get warned and blocked from adding friends for a while, although it was that idiot/troll who requested to be added in the first place.

This is just one example ofcourse. There's a lot more bullcrap that annoy people, i actually got a warning for an argument based on the bible. It was just a damn quote, adressed at some bible fanatics. But i learned my lesson, always make an alt when you preach an inconvenient truth.

If the alteil team adds a link on the alteil facebook page, leading to the alteil launcher or page, then i don't see how facebook will charge them ...

Dosn't blizzard always spam news about their games on facebook and you can also post your starcraft achievements on facebook and connect to your facebook account, etc. I really doubt they charge 30% from them.

Swordgirls has a link to their launcher on facebook. Do they really get charged that 30%?

That doesn't work because it's already going on.

With games that are on Facebook (without the use of external websites/links), your facebook can have status updates like

Brorack Brobama is playing Alteil

and

Brorack Brobama has a free mystery card, claim yours now

Also your game will show up on Facebook search when people click games along with ratings. Now Alteil has a facebook page already with a link to the previous website but it didn't really bring in people.

FACEBOOK IS EVIL. LETS AVOID ANY AND ALL CONTACT WITH FACEBOOK. i already lost one online game site, cause they moved to fb, i dont want to lose another.(not to mention the 1000's that already been added)

I use it to keep in touch with some of my friends and old work colleagues with which i don't work anymore. They only got that silly facebook thingy to communicate with.
