A few comments.

I think the game will be ok (mysteryman seems to be a good manager). I still think it will be a small niche game since I have yet to see any change in pricing. That automatically limits your player pool.

it is nice to know that there are people/players with Icyglare's mentality and can be content playing with a limited card pool. Call me ADD or low attention span or whatever but I mainly started buying cards to have a broader pool and have variety than anything else. I mainly buy cards based off the "best bang for my buck theory" but it is still an expensive endeavor. I won't purchase set 12 at it's onset as i feel now i am better off getting those cards at AH or through a future Black friday event.

I don't think everyone fits into that "shoebox" Icyglare pointed out but it fits most users pretty well.
