Personally, I think the most important part of this is not the actual auction house, but the fact that the Alteil team is finally considering making packs purchasable through currency that can be earned by actually playing the game.

I could care less about the auction house, to be quite honest. Not that it isn't a nice feature to have, but I'm much more interested in the fact that free players might finally be able to collect cards at a decent rate.

Though I hope the FM system won't be something like, 1 FM per game, and 150 FM for a pack. That would just be terrible.

I'm interested. Maybe it'll help the game, maybe it won't--I'll leave that to Alteil itself--but from my own personal standpoint, I'm just glad I'll be able to at least semi-target cards.

Using FM as in game currency with the same value as gran is good idea. FM would actually have some value.

This can potentially open many new options for the shop. If this is coupled with further improvements on cpc, you may have an actual business model you can work with.

yeah i dont understand quite what you mean by changing the currency. Most online sites have usually 2 forms, one you get alot that really dont do much, and the second you have to PAY to earn, (or rarely you can get small amounts by working for it) but used to get the majority of things. changing that wont help much. AS for the auction house, i hope you not suggesting that the players put up cards they have, to get fm/gran cause thats considered trading of sorts, something im quite sure thats going to lead to more LEGAL trouble than its worth.

So how will you deal with alts that have stacked gran and will buy cards on AH and sell them to main accounts? Just asking. Idea seems to be great. Also it'd be great to know b4 u implement such thing, some people stack FM too.

A market with gran-exclusives is still better than no market where everything can be gotten for free, provided Alteil doesn't just sell power. It's in everyone's best interest if Alteil can get people to spend more, even if it means releasing some gran-exclusives as incentive for that spending.

This was a legitimate concern. We ran this by legal (we use one of the bigshot international law firms) and got the thumbs up. Even with that, we'll run it by legal a second time before we go live.

We are helped out by the fact major game companies like Blizzard that have bankrolls to impose their will on the legal system.

Well, there's not much to give feedback to.

I assume you are kinda going to go the Riot way of things and have FM pay for any BASIC needs (as in, card packs, lotteries, etc...) and have Gran be for Premium stuff, such as AH, potions, clothes, etc.

I think you should probably be able to put things up in the AH anyway and then have the Gran bids transform into FM maybe? Though you can't bid that way, you could buy packs and lottery and maybe PC (what will happen to PCs? Removed? With an AH in place, they don't seem to be needed anymore). And it basically means that free players are generating a sort of content for paying players.

How can anyone guarantee that that won't happen.
Only proper way to keep op in line is to make sure everyone can get it even if it takes forever like with the point cards.


And! Free players can only generate content if they have access to AH. They will also want to pinpoint some cards through AH or sell them. Pointcards are minor, but at least they give everyone something.

You need more participants to AH to avoid abuse by some that buy all cheap and sell at a price where overcoat is far more than just an understatement.

Also I don't see any prevention of abuse mentioned.
Will AH be dominated by few cash warriors?
