This is one of my recent duels. I have been on a break from alteil for awhile but started playing again yesterday. Any suggestions??

I know i made a mistake with placing heavy doll in rng 1 instead of rng 1 slot 6, in order to get my rng 3 ranged card increased atk.

Why exactly did you not revive your doll the first time? I thought you were going to put the halberd soldier behind the doll, but instead just let it die off to trigger a SS that didn't really do much...

Also in the beginning: Why did you hold off on attacking the refugees? Is your strategy really that dependent on grimoires?

Also, if you are only going to end up dealing like 5-10 damage to the guardian, you are better off not attacking at all in that case as you will take more damage than you end up dealing.

I'm aware of the mistakes I made. I was messing up a few times from lack of playing the game for awhile and being very tired at that time.

mistake 1: usually better to lead with units that dont cost SP to revive (hellsmoke)
mistake 2: put shade in row 1 always if you can (its good if it dies)

standard opening

shade -> lvl3 -> shade -> lvl 3 -> etc

i suggest adding assassin SS in there somewhere or invisi druid with that lawt locking grim. Personally, I would take out those mind soldiers, but thats just me.

Thanks for the suggestions. I made some adjustments to my opening. I like to open with shade> killing machine just because of the fact that killing machine is such good early damage fodder but I agree that the free revives are good for hellsmoke. the thing is I like to use hell smoke around mid game because if i have out heavy doll and ignia i can place the +10 attack on ignia and attack two cards at the same time without resorting to using soul pact.

I do like mind soldier but I think that it's not optimizing the file at all.

Thanks gon, I opened with shade> hellsmoke today and I believe that is the better opener. >_<
