without undine you may well have lost that but probably not- you kind of won after the +3/4 sp with lvl 1 sp generator and playing a lvl 4 and later a lvl7 unit which are hard to return. Also if you had another return-if not undine definately helped not lose.
Come to think of it salamander may have worked better - on your own starmander.
