How to deal with return spam

Postby monkeysmiles11 » Tue Mar 13, 2012 2:43 pm

I think this replay shows a good way to manage spby knowing when to sacrifice units and being selective on which units to bring out. Enjoy!

it didnt show a good way.

the dio player was just horrible right from the beginning,.
the only move that i liked was the return on level 3 to gen sp on t3 or t2

other than that he made multiple misplays

Looks the popular trend in the video library is

"Your opponent sucks, blah blah blah, why'd I click on this garbage, eyeroll x50"

Pretty much, it's pretty rare to get a thread full of "damn you outplayed the hell out of him" instead of "wow you're opponent's an idiot this is nothing special".

I wouldn't say that someone who got my alphonce file down to 3 lp sucked ( most peaple don't even get around to activating my lap SS) plus he bought himself a few more turns by iczering into that SS where as i was going to use it to kill mirelia next turn...also he never played my file before (I think i'm the only one who uses this type of file). Most likely was not expecting lelein which prevented mirelia from attacking which also prevented him from getting back his/her grims. His Sp advantage was big at one point but I endured enough with the proper rotation of units that kept alive. It was a great match that required me to think some moves ahead.

I would also like to see people stop feeding their own egos by putting down others by how they did, no one should have any room to talk since we all make erros either through own fault or not making the right call on what is being played. It's a wonder why not very many people post on the replay forum, based on some reactions, which is why we seem to only get videos that might as well belong to the "Yay me" thread.

When the power curve is as skewed as it is right now, it's not surprising that this is the case. Outplaying someone usually isn't enough to beat our brand new enducers of QQ.

Really annoying to watch return grimiore be used on a lvl 3 proxy, its a telegraphed Punch of Alteil. Every single freaking falkow file with returns does it. even when people actually use the proxy as a unit instead of a throwaway sacrifice. Really hate to see it happen cuz it just always happen D=

I can understand it, it's a LP disruption. Kinda like when you backlash your beginning sacrificial units, then it's a whole new game.
