Ok - I can play Kesarans, Holy Light (without any units over level 5, except... Phoenix), Aurora, and...
What's that other card? Yes - Ruby Carbuncle (for my Carbuncle General + Ruby Carbuncle + EX: Right-Hand Shield / Garfath + Spiked Shield Knight) yet...

Wait for Set 4 on my main character, and suddenly I have a Guardian + 2 Blessing + Mirror of Light + Snaf-combo.

Cheaaaap.

Oh - and a Rapidly Flying Apprentice SS in case I get bored of playing fairly.

well i don't know any other card game with so many card outclassing each other and where i have to feel bad for playing certain card... seriously set 1 refess still suck so bad it's laughable! imagine if there was a magic set where every single white card was weaker than what other color could offer! as that ever happened? nope...

Pure Refess can still work on its own. Especially thanks to Set 4. Those 1-2 stars are pretty decent

Diamond Carbuncle is good... With Ruby General.

Folrart Slash Knight is good... With Zu. But again - that is a crossover.

Shathia looks good, but you would at least need doubles of her.

The grims look very good.

Shadow Spirit is good, and Star Dragon got buffed.

But unless you have doubles, it is hard to play either unit.

Refess is really here for tanking, and my favourite way to use Refess is as an alternative to skipping (you know, like when you just play grims for the first 4-5 turns)? So crossovers work best with Refess unless you play a counter deck.

There are also nice setups for Refess units with high AGI, but they are not in Set 4.
