When the Alteil team overhauled their level up system it was met with a lot of positive response. However, I still think there can be grounds made to further improve it, especially with more cards than ever. This can help Iczers across all the gaps from free players (quicker access to cards) to big spenders (more gran for special events, new releases). The idea is that this can help retain players at a higher rate.

My proposed expansion of the idea keeps current level ups the same but adds the following
1. All current levels that end in a 5 (45, 55, etc) that do not have a current level up gain the following: Random 3 stars, with small chance for 4 stars
2. All remaining odd numbered levels that do not have a level up provide a random 1 star with a small chance for a 2 star
3. All remaining even numbered levels that do not have a level up provide a random 2 star with a small chance for a 3 star
The above level ups apply up to level 100. Beyond level 100 refer to the below chart
Every 5th level beyond 100 (105, 115, etc) gives a random 4 star with a small chance for a 5 star
Levels that end in 3 and 8 (103, 108, 113, 118, etc) give a random 3 star with a small chance for a 4 star
Levels that end in 1, 4, 7 give a random 1 star with a slight chance of a 2 star and a very small chance of a 3 star
Levels that end in 2, 6, 9 give a random 2 star with a small chance of a 3 star

Obviously, the above star rarities can be tweaked but the main principle is to reward players for every level they reach. Hitting those points where it is 10 levels can be very draining on the emotion of climbing up a mountain to the next reward, especially when XP levels hit 500 XP/level.

In addition the GM’s seem to be pushing point cards lately. I propose that point cards be given out at every level, automatically, in addition to level up cards. The amount of point cards given at each level depend on the amount of XP needed to level up. In short, for every 100 XP needed for a level you get 1 point card (IE: 100 XP needed to level up you get 1 point card, 200 XP 2 point cards, etc.)

+1, more like +100, at least on every 5 lv idea and point cards, I can live without 1 stars every level.

The amount of point cards he suggests (1 / 100 xp) is fine imo and it does keep players interested in being active, well not me, but i am sure it would help the population. Issue with this is that not everyone gains 100 xp so easy, so that's why 5 point cards for 1 weekly event (5 games for 5 days 10 turns each) encourage people a lot more since everyone can win them there!

Alteil is pretty much well balanced. Sometimes you loose and sometimes the enemy wins.

Level ups between 11-19 and 21-24 were introduced retroactively for a lot of the older players, so I don't see why this couldn't be accomplished if they really wanted to. Awarding point cards would simply be a matter of checking a player's level and adding that amount - 1 in point cards.

Its a simple way of making cards more accessible to all players, irregardless of paying or free.

Edit: Used to say 21-29 which is incorrect. Additional level up prizes only go from 21-24.

... I don't remember ever getting any cards for 21-29. Except for Lv 25. Was I supposed to get more?

Nerf Elite Fencer. Change start skill to "target unit of agi 4 or higher gets AGI = 3. Then, this unit gets AGI = 4 for this turn and ATK +10"

only lvl 25. I'm not sure but I think lvl 25 lvl up was always there. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think they only added new lvl ups to lvls 11-14 and 16-19.

I think this idea is too much free stuff. But maybe I'm just a glutton for punishment. Either way any free stuff is good in my books. ;th2
