As for actual feedback...

it was OK, but the participation was lacking. Thinking it is because of the inability to actually advertise to lower-leveled players.

As an alt, i don't really expect to have to participate, although i'm ok with it, it shouldn't be the norm.

I Place restrictions on falkow because I can't have the tourney be a falkowfest. Clearly those restrictions weren't enough last time looking at the top 3, but I was satisfied enough. Think of it as a general theme then enforcing that theme then taking out everything that would clearly be overpowered in that format.
As for your alternate comment, alternates are supposed to participate. Why else would you have alternates then? Besides participating gives you more point cards. If you like, when you sign up you can request for the last spot in the alternate replacement lineup which would lower your chances of playing.

Yeah if you sign up as an alternate and don't expect to play you're signing up with the wrong mindset.

You guys should also check the logs of the votes. Pretty sure when gabo posted his comment I had no negative score.

Negative votes don't count unless they are justified with a person saying "I voted the negative option because of x, y, and z." This is clearly stated in the rules.

One of those votes was me trolling. Of course you're going to say "Gon, why would you do that?" Well, you have a system that's easily abused. So it's gonna happen sooner or later. People can vote in this who didn't play in the tourney.

Well it doesn't matter if the positive side is "abused" now does it?

But yes I'm aware there can be false votes and I'm sure Logress already knows too...what's your point?
