If you're planning on playing seriously i'd suggest you play the real cards. If you live in the US im sure you can find a league nearby to play. In my country, (Singapore) we have gyms and I used to go there once a week to play, trade and have fun. They also have competitions every now and then too and league events that give out free promo cards

Did that when I was in middle school, won all the nearby tournys all the time.
No time to do that nowadays, just gonna play whenever I have free time, usually late at night before bed or in between classes.
