Semi-comprehensive character list (possible spoilers)

Hi all,

This thread will be to provide a semi-comprehensive list of most the characters (those that are directly involved in the story and their role)in Alteil and i will do my best to link in some additional cards when applicable. I will go in chronological order beginning with refess. I don't have all the cards so some of the flavor test (which is important for story stuff) is lost to me (see other thread) but I'll do my best.

Note: If you disagree with this thread i suggest you leave without reading further and refrain from making inappropriate comments. Any an all user input is fully appreciated. Please support theories and ideas with data-ie. flavor text and future card pics etc.

Solar Prince Verlaat: See Link off main page under game Info- Story- Archives of Lavato. It is nice to see the progression verlaat takes in his card forms as he goes from young adolescent king to tyrant Sun Emporer.

Dragonrider / Wasseir: Leader of the dragon riders and teacher to both Resource and Millia. Opted not enter the war of the sun and moon.


Lion Baron / Zagar: Military leader of the Solar kingdom under Verlaat. More detailed information available off main page storyline. trained under the Abyss centaur/ Dical.

Saber Saint / Lapierre Commander of the Solar kingdom's cleric army

She is known to feud with Inquisition Nun Cynthia. she is the overall leader of the shrine Knights. uses lantylit (special whip) as a weapon. i think she likes her red wine-i am beginning to like her more and more (see card below)

Knight of luminance Ernst:

Realm guardian mayleen:

Fountain knight elneith: personal body guard to verlaat separate from the Priests of the royal guard. Failing to protect verlaat from gaieshart when he casts verlaat into the ravine, she commits suicide for failing in her duty.

Boy inquisitor cudgel: no impact on the story yet but these true god guys are heinous. Remember, it was the high priest of the tgc that managed to get verlaat as next in line to succession over Alphonse.

Inquisition nun Cynthia: leader of the tgc faction of solar kingdom units. Trained under the tutelage of demon nun cosmos. She quarrels with lapierre. At some point they assist one another Ina battle against what looks like magic dolls. Something tells me this feud between the tgc religious wing and the normal military will come to a head.

Fallen moon child miffyre: abyssal forces character that betrays the envoy of chaos elandi. She is escorted to the solar kingdom by the beasts orthos, belus, and scarrion. She informs verlaat of the impending coming of elgandi and what must be done to save lavato. She is locked away in the holy realm. I am not exactly sure what the holy realm is is it another dimension? Perhaps it is a magical location outside of lavato or within lavato itself only accessible through the a special door or portal that is protected by realm guardian mayleen and the key to the holy realm.

Beast soldier Orthos: one of the beasts that escorts Miffyre to the Solar kingdom.

2nd Dragonrider Resource: Leaves training to join the war of the sun and moon, for The solar forces. Trained under Wasseir.

2nd Shrine leader Shathia: Captain of 2nd shrine knights.
3rd Shrine leader Ridrea: Captain of the 3rd shrine knights.
4th Shrine leader Elaice:
5th Shrine leader Judie: Captain of the 5th Shrine knights "the crazies"

Servant of the sun Safira: leading strategist for the Solar Kingdom. She secretly supports Alphonce and manages to get him smuggled back intothekingdom whenVerlaat goes missing. Personal note: I really like Safira more and more after reading this. She does her duty day in and day out but never lost faith in her primary allegiance. She'll probably hang for what she does but my hat off to her.

Unknown knight Aano; A shrine knight but really a spy working for the True God Church. She has some second thoughts about the true purpose of the church however. We also suspect she has an alias and goes by the name Justice to do good deeds throughout the kingdom in here spare time.

Solar Princess Aliria: She is the younger sister to Verlaat. Despite his misgivings, she joins the battles to help heal the wounded.

Envoy of Chaos Elgandi: The mastermind of evil. Ultimate goal is to rule Lavato. Is an Iczer. The triad of chaos Annarose, Zalzagul, and the late Galdirea work to meet his ends.

Hi cainhyde.

I thought he was still alive when the war began. Resource left while under his tutelage to join the war. That was my understanding. Since Wasserstein did not. I thought for certain I read that somewhere I'll look for the info today.

Note: if I fail to include extra card art please inform me as it is a lot of stuff to try to cross reference between the alteils and the ex card etc. thanks in advance.

I'm doing most of this off an iPad 2 and it does not yet support flash. I have to look up the flavor text separately on my home computer but I might be able to directly type in the quotes that relate direct to the story sure.

I need to link in sibling solidarity off verlaat as well. It takes me some time to sort through the Japanese cards as my katakana kinda sucks. All contributes will be acknowledged At the end of the thread.

I am pretty sure Wasseir just did not join the war. It says on Resource flavor that he ignored Wasseirs order and joined the battle.

I managed to lose about a half hour of work on the main page due to a misclick.

I have updated some characters. If I make any errors or leave out any details please inform me here and I'll make an update to the primary page. I had the link to the solar tyrant card but managed to misplace it. I'll find it by end of the day.

If I skip a character that you feel should be included let me know that as well ie Orfen or garfath etc.

I'll pretty up the main page as well with bold on the character names and such as well. I am rather new to the iPad and being a typical male refuse to read manuals. I havent figured out how to highlight text within a body of a paragraph yet.....

Not sure what impact this card means to the story. Here is a meeting of sagar with ?..... About what I am not sure. When I find out I'll include it with Zagar's list.

Yug rescued verlatt from the ravine.
Zugateroza recognised Verlatt as the king of mankind and knelt in front of him out of respect.
Alphonse left the solar kingdom. Then after Verlatt went missing, he came back and commanded the army to go to Crest, possibly to attack them, since theres Assault Battering Ram.
Solar Eclipse /Alphonse text: 'So Verlatt is the Solar Prince... Why not? He has his path, I have mine'/Solar Prince Verlatt's older brother by a different mother. He was raised in the shadow of Verlatt, but then suddenly vanished without a trace. When they meet again, it will be under the decree of fate, and they will be arch enemies.
The art in Order to Sortie shows crest troops, so maybe they fight back or something.

Thx for the update. I'll include it in the page as best possible or inside the storyline thread. I didn't have Alphonse but looked at him briefly yesterday in the tourney.

It said something about a possible ulterior motive for alphonce's mobilizing the solar kingdom's army to march through the duchy of crest to the Galdore (sp) mountains where the stronghold of chaos lies. How does alphonce's know the location? I believe gray wolf métis had discovered it last set so perhaps it's whereabouts are now common knowledge.

I also imagine that the events taking place over the course of the last few sets transpire across months or perhaps years rather than days since these are what amounts essentially of medieval style armies. Ie. lord of the rings type stuff.

Maybe the battering ram is for busting a hole in the stronghold of chaos. They best bring some archers to deal with those gargoyles flying overhead.....

Just some random additions:

Safiria was also investigating Annarose, and ultimately the only one to not go insane while doing so. Alphonce is also most likely after Verlaat (given that they appear together later) and Annarose.

Both Cynthia and Lapierre have nothing to do with the political quarrels between TGC and solar kingdom*, so they're pretty much fighting their own battle, but ultimately have the same goal.

While Mayleen is the holder of the key, and an immensely powerful Priestess, Sergis is the true guardian and is kept a secret until the battle of the holy realm.

Elaice and her troops (who are reconnaisance knights), as well as the church paladins, have been issued with finding Verlaat.

Lapierre, by virtue of being a shrine knight, is also a priestess, and once Mayleen unlocks her sword Lantylit (Not Whip), all Shrine Knights gain a massive boost (They get free revival in the JP version to reflect this). She herself is Shrine Knight type and another, more powerful Zero in JP.

*Am I the only one who thinks the entire Verlaat, TGC etc. situation is kind of drawing parallels to the popular picture of the Bakumatsu and Meiji-Tenno?

The art in Order to Sortie shows crest troops, so maybe they fight back or something.

In the flavor text, Eskatia (And probably Dical) sort the Crest Army to prepare to go to Zug territory to meet Zug.
Remember Verlaat said he need to meet King of Dead?
Verlaat didn't go there alone without preparation you know.
