Joachim bug

The card list is down, so I couldn't check the abilities again to make sure, but Joachim's (at full HP) counter skill activated twice when he was hit by Yug's 30 DMG 80 DMG skill. Shouldn't it have only activated once?

That's how counter skills work. If you hit Meathead Augment twice with Ryu's attack, he gets double counter activation too. As long as the second hit fulfills the requirements for the counter, both hits will activate counter.

But Joachim has the conditional clause, so it shouldn't work like Guardian and others. It should only apply when the conditional is met. The HP wasn't at level X on the first hit, so it should only activate once.

You increased the counter count through the two hits to 2.

Counter is always activated but before effect takes place the condition on joachim is checked to see if it's fulfilled, which it was in your case.

I think this is a bug. The counter skill should only activate once, according to the text on the card. If it activates twice, then the text on the card should be changed to reflect what it ACTUALLY does.

That's why I used Meathead Augment as my example and not guardian. It has the HP clause too. As long as the second hit reduces HP to the conditional, the counter will activate for both hits. Get somebody to try using ExWizard Archer's Soul on a full HP Augment Soldier. Get some lulz.

Wait what, how did the 30+80= 110 damage. joachim have 110 or 120 hp?

First hit shouldn't haven't activated the counter but 2nd one yes. unless Yug's ability is viewed as an single attack, then that just makes yug's charge ability even more impressive. An single attack that can do damage to multiple units. Think mad beast Dan but better. that lvl 4 marital artist guy. Its an single attack instead of being divided up in an auto and start and end phases.

Utheif once won a game vs buffed shin, bkr, jack, allind, and sakura all on the same field using just joachim (with 1 copy l lp left). He played angry mob and opponent triggered ex wiz archer and then used his skill.
And we've been through this before. A counter counts the number of times hit while still above 0 hp and then it checks the condiiton. So if you bof guardian to 0 damage, and opponent plays healing powder, counter will only activate once.

So did Joachim's hp drop to 0 or not? And how many times was he hit while below 0 hp? This is the crucial details that's missing.
