No one's expecting an essay (and honestly no one wants to read one here XD). It's more of the fact that often times, the posts you feel are legitimate are often just asking the other person to convince you, without you contributing anything of your own. When combined with the general arrogant vibe you sometimes give off, it's not exactly agreeable.

For example, instead of just posting, "how's EX lap bad?", or "how's jewel of the deep sea OP?" You can post one or two reasons you think otherwise. Then you wont sound like an egomaniac that feels everyone has to convince him. If you start an actual topic, you should elaborate way more and give a concise argument for your side. If you feel it's truly worth discussing, it doesn't hurt to spend a few minutes to actually write something of substance instead of a one-liner.

And I know what you're saying about some other posters on the other threads. Some of them post a lot and are abrasive, and those that are like that generally are found to be annoying too. Some of them are indeed pretty vague, with their own poorly formatted arguments. The thing is, you post so much that it's almost impossible for some to ignore you (which is one reason you're considered spammy).

Also, a lot of people can do without the whiny posts (ie like the entire alteil prejudice topic).

Thanks for the feedback. Ill take those things into consideration in the future.

The prejudice thread is not meant to be whiny, but to address a very serious problem in the community, in my opinion. I can't think of any irl environment where it would be acceptable for such prejudice to prosper. I don't think it should be accepted or tolerated and I think the first step is to identify the problem.

In brief:

GonFreeces31 wrote:I don't see the need to elaborate on points and I rarely ever do.

Why then do you find it ok to expect others to do so, often to the point of being outrageously arrogant?

GonFreeces31 wrote:This is an internet forum who wants to sit around reading and writing essays all day? I believe in making short concise posts that get to the heart of the matter. A lot of times I do just that.

Most of your posts (see evidence earlier in this thread or anywhere in the forums at all) do not get to the heart of anything. You demand this of others, but fail to achieve this yourself on MOST occasions.

GonFreeces31 wrote:I understand some people dislike that posting style, but I'm a fan of quality over quantity.

Almost 8500 posts say otherwise.

GonFreeces31 wrote:The complaint is really about me not elaborating on the point, rather than the point itself. I guess I should stop complaining about the slanderers. It's just I tend to get 5-10 personal insults a day these days. We really need a mod to ban those people.

Or, they could ban you, and all of those people (possibly the majority of regular forums posters - should we count them?) would stop. Do you feel you are worth more than all of those people combined?

GonFreeces31 wrote:You know I looked back through the Jewel thread...

Your denial is shameful.

I can see that while you are able to acknowledge some of sci's points, you are ultimately in conflict with them and end up in denial. You will continue to deny and act the same in forums because regardless of any evidence provided, arguments made, reflection or outright insult, you believe you are simply better than us.

How is that working out for you? Happy?

I actually haven't been breaking forum rules recently. I mean not 100% of my posts are perfectly on topic, but that can be said for anyone.

I looked through the jewel thread, and it actually took over 200 posts and demongod to clarify exactly what the problem with jewel is. The argument that Jewel is independently OP is still a poor argument.

Gon the argument that jewel is op because of specific interactions with other cards was made long before page 20 when DG outlined his case. I never really saw you posting an argument as to why you think Jewel isn't overpowered except for "there's a lack of evidence, so convince me". After I figured that out, I just gave up and moved on with my life. Why should we have to convince you of anything when you fail to even attempt to argue your own point?

There are a lot of fair points in this thread about why certain members of this community do not enjoy your company. Personally, I do not mind it most of the time-but there are times when I just shake my head and wonder what is going on in your head.
