Let me explain. You know how old men are said to have old man strength? And you know how often times it's said old age is like a second childhood? Well, phoenix chick is just getting by on baby strength (similar to old man strength). Phoenix is what happens when baby decides to go through life without lifting.

The cards that were as strong against stuff as Phoenix chick is against bigs got nerfed severely. Look, you put Phoenix chick against any one unit in the game, it will not lose. And unlike hero Dilate, it's max HP immune, despite hero Dilate arguably being a level 5 in nature (level 4 requiring 6 sphere = level 5 IMO). This card basically makes the Gowen sphere that much worse, period.

Time to stop relying on the one card mentality, Dilate and Phoenix both can take on a lot of units one on one. If you need a solution with big red, use bringer (every big red has that).

Have something that can deal 90dmg on the field, use bringer's open.
Or Have Bringer on the field, use a firearrow, fireball breath, or frick'n anything that deals 30 dmg, I'm sure big red can manage that somehow.

Stop relying on the one-card mentality? Try playing big red vs. mid ref. My guess is that you will die horribly.

I have beat my fair share of phoenix files with my big red file. WIth the nerf now it's even easier as they only have the 30 hp after the renew. And yes pheonix is strong one vs one, but even my allind file I ususally have multiple units on the field. I usually save phoenix for last and kill the rest of the field first as phoneix can only do 30 damage usually with their action skill. When he's alone on the field, it's really easy to take him down.
