Currently missing one more copy of Emana. Swapped out one copy of Faytis for 4th SS after this. Should I swap out Fellana for return grims?

I'm a little surprised you survived that after that rough start, but pixies do lack staying power against Mermaids and you bounced back well.

Fellana slows you down and Cath sometimes isn't so good for rushes. I would add Shufas if you have it. Then you can do a couple of different opens:

1. Shield -> L1 Maid -> Shufas -> Transform
2. Buncle -> L3 -> L1 -> L3
3. Jewel -> L3 -> L4/L3

Yeah, first I didn't see the mermaid requirement, then I didn't see the range requirement.

Anyway thanks gadu for your advice. Too bad I recycled all my mermaid shields. Oh well, I'll just have to wait for the next mermaid faction pack. Why did they take out faction packs when they keep practically every other recurring promo item in the shop?

Just a note about
Shield -> Merm sorceress-> shufas -> Transform

It is a solid open, just if you put sorceress behind shield (for agi buff),
you would really have a hard time activating you 1st ss

Also I think Emana is a better fit in the file, Shufas takes up too much space (with transform)

Yes, but that baby mermaid has won me many matches just by engaging units until the end of the next turn. If you play against refess, you stick her in the back with Shufas on slot 5 so she can one-shot Guardian.

Another open you can try after you get shield is

Buncle
Emana
Shield
L3 (if buncle died)

But personally I don't like Shield. I just think she is a good pair with Emana.

Just got 3 Mermaid Shield Soldiers (plus a couple of 5* cards I want) from almost endlessly recycling through hyper rarity lotto yesterday.

Not sure why my opponent gave up in the end, I feel that he still had a good chance of winning if he had damage or return grims.

Still haven't figure out what is the best opening placement for Shura and Sorceress with Shield.
