I actually expect this to be true.

Testing does not only involve looking statistically at data. It is not as trivial that it sounds. A data analyst alone does not guarantee a balanced release. It would help but it's not going to be the magical solution to all your problems.

A data analyst /w no domain specific knowledge would be a help. A data analyst who's also been a top RP holder for a season? The testing team would be nuts not to have me on it.

Past and present aren't synonyms. You are not in the top RP. Also RP isn't representing skill, it's showing your current success / deck strength which is also based on the strength of the cards you play.

Also statistics are simple to learn, at least for me. Anyways I expect those in charge to be capable of data interpretation.

At least you should have had top RP when requesting such. Especially when mentioning RP.
According to your own definitions you're a scrub / bad player.

I don't get why you don't release this set on a perfect release date such as 21st. Sigh.
