Well this is only needed (imo) until 2v2 and LH and Napoleon come out.

So why not have the events then? Right now, having the events would be catering to a dying crowd. I think it would be better to have the events when the game is as complete as they want to keep the new people around.

The crowd is low because of lack of encouragement to play.

Having to play level 4+ files and even then try to dodge removals isn't fun, but at least some events that benefit everyone for playing few more games increases the crowd.

When LH / 2v2 / Napo do get released then there is actually something new to try out and enjoy, aside from the boring 1on1 folrart for which you need to spend hundreds to get the top meta and have an enjoyable time in there.

Basically LH / 2v2 / Napo and other game modes would be like an event within themselves. At least upon release. Later on, one month or so after they are all released if nothing new comes out drop events to keep things interesting.

Events do increase activity, but it's just a band-aid on a broken arm. Firstly, they need to take the statistics from this month's 20 of 28 and address the balancing issues.
...and they need to get over themselves and stop ignoring specific cards that always sit at the top. Obviously, advertisement is the most important aspect of increasing the playerbase. Speaking of, it's not such a terrible idea to start posting advertisements on the site to boost revenue. I doubt players would mind in the long run and they could get over their fears of lowering prices in the shop.

Exactly. If the core game itself is not fun, then there's not much Apocoplay can do to improve the crowd satisfaction for the long-term until they fix the core game.

Okay...
Let me try guessing your file.
1. Falkow Return Abuse
2. Buncle with ugly Violet
3. UD

Which one?

Neither. My file was some random level 3 lawtia with revive SS and generated SP early vs some beast king rivera + jack + returns abuser and gained somehow a very little advantage over him so he rage quit turn 9.

But i played a return file afterwards and won turn 12 or so.

So nice and easy win! :D
Sun worshiper on spiked pig? Tidal + Faytis!
Aano vs my urgrant? Return + sylph!

Aano again? Elite fencer of lulz!

and i typed GG to be extra lame of course

How about some sealed deck tourneys? Shouldn't be that difficult or time-consuming for management to set up and run.
