Gaiessoul open in non augmented/ abyssal forces files.

This is such a super strong open that almost all proxy multishpere meta files pack it for its 1sp up to lvl 4 merc death which basically wins games especially if lvl 4 targeted.

I am fine with this card in augmented files but I think it needs to be changed to stop ot limit it being using in other ones.

It is so good some files even proxy just to use this in files usually with no other lawtia cards in their file. And do not tell me it is hard to mulsphere. With cards like proxies,moxies,chaos strong hold it is so easy. Also all guys pretty much have it so abuse is rampant.


I suggest changing open to something like the following:

e.g.change open

Conditional use atleast 10 augmented or abyssal forces cards in file/grave/removed. (edit thanks muklas)

Or

reduce lawtia lvl to 0 and reduce all other sphere levels to a max of 2

Or add start skill

Set one when random non lawtia friendly unit to hp=0

I am sure other people feel the same way.

That way it is more balanced when used outside augment files.

From what I've seen most good augument files don't pack more than 3x A-Doll, 3x Big guy, 3x Butcher Loli and 1x Gaiessoul, so the first suggestion kinda doesn't work if you want to keep her worth as a card.

nah I agree, if they add a lil extra in a conditional, it'll probably be something simple like if open/close abyssal forces is on the field.

Not really, it's a good card for single use but if you are losing based on one card being sent to cemetary, then something else is wrong. It's a great card to splash, but I think since virtually everone has it, people are seeing it more and thinking OP.

Harvest I think if you look critically at this card you would change your mind. It can give a 3SP advantage to one player. It's not about usage it's about what happens mathematically when you splash her.

It's a wrath that tanks and refunds sp when it closes (and sends that copy to the cem). Oh and it doesn't have the -1 sphere.
Remember that mini proxies gives you 1 extra sphere for free so if you're going to 4 gowen or refess anyways, the 1 sp open cost is basically nil if you proxy. If you stronghold, the -1 sp stays.

So I've been asked for my position on this card. I've stated elsewhere that I think Gaiessoul's openskill is over the line because of it's universal application outside of augmented files-I think the proper (and realistic) fix to this card is to add a "drain all other sphere levels by 1" clause in addition to the lawtia sphere reset. That way you can still use it as a single copy if you choose to, there's just going to be a higher cost.
