Can you use stuff like owl sage ,salamander,shade and other starter level ones in all spheres. You should be able to just splash it in.

Also no reason that you cannot play a multisphere file as long as they are included in the new starter decks including the extra group of cards that come with the starters as long as a good porportion are the sphere you select. Although you would be advised not to with the lack of moxy/proxy/sphere increasing ss.

While it is good to stick to the sphere that you chose to represent, you can splash in spirits from other spheres. You can even try using units from other spheres but I'm not sure that's a good idea.

Nope.
I was going to do yes because sometimes you learn from trying your file out the first match (I don't need this... I need this!), but allowing people to change files and their opening card allows camping depending on sphere. For example, against non-lawtia, i don't need to **** shade dodge turn 1. I'm playing falkow and my opponent is playing gowen? Let me open 2 falkow witch (which there are really no counters to unless you pack undines in gowen?) This is why you must mail me your file and your opening card.
