I personally hate those. Makes folrart too competitive and raging all that more common.

I saw pages and pages of complaints about them events.

I do like them. If I don't have the time to collect, I'll aim for one of the lower prizes instead. I also saw the most variety in files, while at the same time find out what was the most powerful/abused. Should definitely have one of these before an errata.
