Waiting for ye old pricing

Postby cheongzewei » Sat Oct 05, 2013 3:23 pm

heartstone is in.

Code: Select all
3 wins  10 gold.
1 pack = 100 gold (30 wins)
1 game bout 10~20 minutes (avg:15)

TB says : 1 pack easily gainable in a day.

1 pack = $1.50
Arena run = $2

Your move, alteil.

1 pack = 3 cards = 30 games in heartstone
therefore 1 card = 10 games in heartstone
1 card = 1 game in alteil

10 games>1 game
therefore alteil is better

your move

why all this comparing? it makes absolutly no sense to invest resources into alteil when alteil horizon is preparing. we expect that alteil horizon arrives there will be changes happening on this lvl anyway. So why not just wait till horizon is out and compare THEN.

also this comparison is very very superficial pls inlclude in your calculation:
1 the minimal Cards required to make a deck
2 the adaptility of the cardpool as a whole to create complete competetive decks from it (how much do decks rely on special Cards, how much do certain Cards dominate the Performance of decks)
3 alternative ways of acquiring cards eg via events and community rewards
4 indirect targeting potentials (how much does a pack increases my Chance to get what i want)
5 total cardpool size and number of playable decks within and number of Cards with useless tag
(probably even more stuff)

and this is only pack, what about lotto, box, pinpointing via pc??

I'm excluding everything like quests, leveling up and the like that gives you extra cards. That includes alteil 1 free card a day.

1 pack = 5 cards

6 wins in heartstone.
in alteil. 10 wins for 1 card.... that you will get tomorrow.

@anima
Because i really want to see alteil's pricing, if I am to back it up.

1) 30 cards to make a deck in both games
2) adaptility of cardpool. I'm seriously not going to go into this deeply

Alteil, Sphere independent, refress and falkrow low adaptibility, lawtia and gowen high adaptibility. High adaptibility with a cost, you must have them in multiples of 3.
Heartstone: High adaptibility on all heroes as there are 'all classes' cards. Can easily be used alone.

I'll say heartstone wins here.

3) alternate ways of acquiring cards.
Alteil: community events, 1 free card per day. 1 card pull per day,10g. Total a month, 65 cards, give or take up or down per month.
heartstone: huge number of quests, 1 pack after 30 wins. card per level up. uncalculateable. (i'm not in beta :( )

Inconclusive. can't say.

alteil: community events for pointcarding rares.
heartstone: DUST (recycle) system.

Heartstone wins for convenience and ability to do so at any time, instead of relying on community events.

4) Alteil: lolololololol lotto RNG! Don't want RNG? Pay more for "gold".
heartstone: guaranteed one rare or better in a pack.

heartstone wins hands down. HANDS down. rares are equliavent to 4 stars in alteil, and rates look good.

5) alteil:
cardpool : HUGE
useless tag cards: HUGE (need 3, and even then, when was the last time you saw someone using
playable decks: 3~4 per sphere?: 16 decks total.

heartstone: huge
useless tag cards: tiny (each card is mostly independent
playable decks. estimated, easily 2 different decks per class: 16 decks total.

Heartstone wins.

Playing 30 games just to get cards that will probably be mostly useless to me is not how I want to spend my time.
