Game creator even said *All in all, the Closed Beta launch is a huge success, and if the game continues in this way, it could likely even become bigger than Alteil*

More successful than Alteil? I'll say! They may be even up to not one, but TWO hundred people playing at peek times!

Also, it sounds pretty damn generic, and removes that little player interaction that MtG/WoW TCG had... and doesn't replace it like Alteil does. The only upside is being so cross platform it'd run on my washing machine.

I signed up, and will check it out tonight. The price certainly sounds right, but we'll have to see if it's too generic like LK proposes (I can see it being a possibility, but no idea yet).

Thanks Xideru.

Is the card acquisition thing some rip-off? or reasonable?

$0.99 for a pack of 15 - several uncommons, with a guaranteed rare or epic & a guaranteed character.

So yeah reasonable as hell compared to this madness.

Is there anything interesting about this game? I tried the beta but feel asleep waiting for the animations to finish.

You can speed up the animations. But yeah, it's pretty bland. If it beats out alteil, it'll be because of the business modell and not because it's that good of a game.

I'm here to point out that Shadow Era is a clone of the World of Warcraft TCG.

I can never find anybody to play against in Shadow Era. I'm sure that'll change though. They have a good business model and I like the source material.
