BATORA shakedown

The week-long frenzy is over, and Batora has been driven away from Lavato completely!  With 61 wins, we got even more than last year.  Pixie / Witch lock-down secured the highest number of wins of any deck, although it also secured the most losses because of its pure volume and tendency to lose with one wrong move. The second highest number of wins and the best Win % was Magic Dolls.  Other records include number of Kurinas killed in a single day, now held by Genshin (944 total), number of times Set in a single day, now held by True Shvara (4,006 total) and number of Iczers forced to quit for not paying attention for half a second, now held by Hirume (121 total).

After many valiant battlings, BATORA has been thrown down 50 times!  We've got him on the run now!

I've also got some details for you on the BATORA EX 1 PACK coming up.  It will have 4 EX Cards in it, instead of the usual 2.  The packs will be up in the shop for 2 months only. Each pack will contain one 2009 Batora card from each sphere, and cost 600 Gran.  However, for the FIRST WEEKEND ONLY the cost will be 2 Gran cheaper for every time Batora has been beaten over 50.  That means if Batora is beaten 5 more times, each pack will cost 10 Gran less (effectively saving you 30 Gran if you buy three packs to get playsets).

After two and a half days of constant battle, the agents of Batora have been delivered a mighty blow!!! Thanks to ShinMaster's persistence, we've hit the magic number of 30 wins!  Now, we're so close... press on and we'll be able to drive him away completely!  We just have to get to 50 wins!!

We all knew this day would come!  Angered by the loss of his four servants, the ultimate evil -- BATORA -- has returned to the world of Lavato and has begun its attack on Alteil itself!

Arakis' Quest: the Slowpoke Quest: RESULTS

What sphere do you suppose would perform the best if you could only use slow units?  A lot of players would say Refess, and if they had access to Holy Knight / Lapierre, they could very well be right.  However, Lawtia was the star of this Quest by a good margin.  This is probably largely because Refess relies on counter skills to punish fast, aggressive opponents.  Counter skills are good, but if your unit dies in one hit, you'll never get to use it.  Close skills, more a Lawtia specialty, are bound to eventually take effect unless its owner gets returned.
