Even in the face of heavy handicap, there are viable strategies that can be played so long as you have the right cards. Sometimes even a single copy of those cards is enough, even in Alteil. That's what this Quest proved. It's not easy, that's true. But it can still be done.

Rankings - A Tale in Three Chapters
Written by Edgar Figaro
Monday, 25 January 2010 18:54

Actually Rankings is only really one chapter. The first two are the sordid tale of me and Microsoft. The pain, fire, and anguish I had to go through to get my Box of X back to me. But worry no more fellow Iczers! just like Bavmorda stole Elora Danan and Willow snatched her back, I, Edgar Figaro snatched my X-Box out of the hands of the nefarious Microsoft Corporation.

So this weeks thinly associated tie-in message is to persevere and never give up on your goal. To get your X-Box back from the Microsoft Service Center, errrr, I mean to top the weekly Rankings.

As always, anyone who has had to deal with the Red Ring of death AND fought in the arena at least once this week will receive at least 10 gran. Listed below are your top 5 ranked Iczers, top 3 guilds, guilds that have become official.

The End of an Era: EX 5 Ends on Jan 31st

Sad but true, our most popular EX pack ever is only in the shop for another week. It's my personal recommendation to get it. It's not often the stars align to have such a nice match up of EX cards and Starters.

5 of 7 Coming of Age is over, and it was our most popular 5 of 7 contest yet! Thanks to everyone who participated, you should all have your Point cards now.

As for the winners, they were once again chosen from our list of participents (who completed at least one 10+ round battle per day for 5 of 7 days last week) via random number supplied by www.random.org.  So, let's go to the list:

GRAND PRIZE WINNER:

MikeX

Mike X (who thankfully is a Refess player, that would be embrassing on our part if he wasn't) is now the proud owner of two copies of Retear and also two copies of True Retear.

RUNNERS UP!

Our runners up get two copies of Brave Soldier and two copies of Dilate (normal version). Here they are:

Sylfeinray

Mondays Rankings Dedicated to the Great MLK
Written by Edgar Figaro

Hopefully you have off today and hopefully you can enjoy the nice weather on MLK Jr. Day. MLK Jr. had a dream and most Iczers have a dream too. A dream to top the Rankings. Challenge of the Fortnight Update
Written by CSquared
Friday, 15 January 2010 22:05

Just a quick note for those wondering what's been up with the Challenge of the Fortnight lately. I personally have been swamped with various things for quite a while now and obviously haven't been able to keep it going on a regular basis. Not a great way to celebrate the one-year anniversary of the CotF, I know. The situation most likely won't change in the foreseeable future, but we are still planning to finish judging them. Consider this a hiatus for now, and apologies to all those waiting with bated breath for the next CotF. After I've caught up on a few things, I'll update all you Iczers on what's in store for the coming fortnights.

Arakis' Quest - the 6LP Quest Results
Written by Arakis
Wednesday, 13 January 2010 15:00

Wow, this Quest easily holds the record for most delayed.  That's kind of ironic since all the entries only had 6LP.  These were some fast-moving files, and high aggression was (usually) the name of the game.  The poor NPCs didn't stand much of a chance, and in some cases, neither did the finalist test deck.  Soooo here we go!
